Chia is a performer, writer, director, and creative arts therapist/practitioner. Her extensive work in the criminal justice, youth, and arts sectors has deeply influenced her practice and advocacy of creative rehabilitation. As the writer and director of The Forty Elephants, she also starred in the production at Camden People’s Theatre, The Albany, and Platform Theatre.
Her notable theatre credits include: Sissy in Cake at Theatre Peckham (rehearsed reading) Alice in Finding Olokun at Stanley Arts, Bloggs in The Forty Elephants, Carmen in Rhapsody of the Kill Joy at the Gielgud Theatre, Mother in The Windrush Time Capsule at the Africa Centre, and Aunty Cherrie in 1963 - They Had A Dream at the Cochrane Theatre.
